Ondo State Public Sector Governance Reform and Development Project (PSGRDP) is a World Bank assisted Project. It’s a Project designed for the development of Public Sector in participating States for achieving total conformity with world best global practice. Basically, it’s a Project put together to support participating states in strengthening their Public Finance which is inclusive of expenditure and revenue drive as well as human resource management.
As mentioned, PSGRDP come with focus on Reforming the Public Sector of all participating States in Nigeria, primarily in the area of Public Financial Management (PFM), Human Resource Management (HRM) and Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E). These (PFM, HRM, M&E) are the major components of the Project that form the Project Implementation core area in Public Service.
Essentially, the Project aimed at supporting capacity building towards the building of institutional framework for the Public Service in compliance with world best global practice. Also, the Project has in its objective the target for minimizing wastage in the State Public Financial System and entrench value for money principle.
Since the Project became effective in Ondo State, various activities have been implemented and sundry equipment procured for the Activity Executing Agencies (AEAs) in supporting Public Service capacity for achieving the Project objectives. The Project had since provided support in the area of office equipment and Project vehicles for the participating AEAs in the State as well as providing qualitative support for capacity building in all the Project Implementing AEAs.
